Recipe for compounding caffeine as an oral suspension:

A 10mg/ml solution of caffeine citrate may be prepared from 10g citrated caffeine powder combined with 10g citric acid USP and dissolved in 1000ml distilled water. The preparation is stable for three months at room temperature.
